An Ultrafast One-Step Tin/Lead Stripper for Immersion or Spray ApplicationsChemStrip TL (RD-52) is a high speed, stabilized, high capacity tin/lead stripper designed for the stripping of either tips or whole boards. Specifically formulated to provide effective stripping when used in an immersion/soak application, or in automatic top plating machines.ChemStrip TL is inhibited against decomposition due to dissolved heavy metals; no more "charge today and dump tomorrow" syndrome. A full bath life can be expected based on the amount of metal dissolved, not length of time in service. ChemStrip TL (RD-52)works quickly and effectively without harming the copper substrate and without leaving difficult-to-rinse residues on the boards. A final rinse after stripping leaves boards free of tarnish and ready for further processing. MAKE-UP: Use as received. Do not dilute. No mixing is necessary. OPERATION: ChemStrip TL (RD-52) is used at 60º - 90º F. High volume processing may require external cooling for maximum bath life. Tin/lead deposits (0.5 mil) will be stripped in approximately one-half minute. ChemStrip TL (RD-52) has a maximum capacity of 363 grams of tin/lead per liter or 48 oz./gallon, depending on volume and speed of process. Normally, ChemStrip TL (RD-52) is used until no longer functional. However, dead or dying baths may be revived with the addition of 5%, by volume, of 50% hydrogen peroxide. EQUIPMENT: Use only polyethylene or polypropylene tanks. The product contains fluorides, and fiberglass equipment may be attacked. SAFETY: ChemStrip TL (RD-52) is highly corrosive, and great care should be taken when handling. Wear full protective clothing when using: full face and eye protection is mandatory. Store and use in a well ventilated area, and do not allow contact with glass, ceramics or other silica-containing materials. Consult Material Safety Data Sheet for further information. DISPOSAL:Spent baths of ChemStrip TL (RD-52) will contain acid fluoride salts, chelates and heavy metals. Dispose of in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations.
